Location

Where it is

Évora's historic centre has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1986 (“Historic Centre of Évora”, criteria ii and iv). UNESCO describes it as a museum-city whose roots go back to Roman times and which reached its golden age in the 15th century, when it became the residence of the Portuguese kings.

In 2027, Évora — together with the Alentejo — will be European Capital of Culture, the fourth Portuguese city to hold the title. The city lies 140 km east of Lisbon (source: Municipality) and has a direct rail link: Intercidades trains run Lisboa Oriente → Évora in about 1h33 (CP timetable in force since 14-12-2025).

The house sits in the central parish (São Mamede, Sé, São Pedro e Santo Antão), in the heart of the historic centre. Everything below was measured door-to-door from the property's official RNAL coordinates.
